Ice Cream - Basic Level

Learn more about the production of real Italian ice cream. Develop your basic skills within the field of ice cream at ZBC in Denmark

Welcome to our international skills course Ice Cream - Basic Level. This course introduces you to different ways of making ice cream. During the course, you will learn about the raw materials, different types of ice cream (parfait, gelato, and sorbet), calculation of recipes and methods for quality assurance. You wil also be introduced to the decoration of your ice cream. 

 

During the course, you will learn from highly educated teachers with a lot of experience in teaching within the field of ice cream. 

 

During the period of time the course Ice Cream - Basic Level takes place, you will stay at the ZBC student hostel. When you stay at our ZBC student hostel, you get the opportunity to meet and engage with other Danish and International students.

Teaching time

Teaching starts all days at 8.30 am and ends at 4 pm, with lunch in the middle of the day.

Presentation of the professional lecturers

Pastry Chef Carsten Kej will be responsible for the practical and theoretical training of ice cream and its marvelous world.
Carsten is a well-known name in the industry. He has coached the national Danish Pastry Team, for 8 years, and has been awarded the Saint Honore Medal. Carsten is one of the top specialists in the field and is a professional baker, confectioner, and pastry chef. In addition to having completed vocational training, Carsten has also taken several national and international courses. He graduated as a Gelatiere from Carpigiani Gelato University in Bologna in 2015.

Price for the course

The price for the course is 800 € including accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner and educational material.

You will only need to bring pocket money.

You are responsible for your insurance, Visa (approximately 60 USD) and plane tickets. This is not included in the price.

Badge and value-added

After ending the course in Denmark, you will receive an electronic badge.
The badge will show what you have been working with during your participation in the course. You can share the badge on the social medias and use it on
your CV for your further working life. If you participate in both areas, you will receive a badge for each of them.

The course awards you a certificate documenting the skills you have learned during your visit to Denmark.
